Jack Jay Wind (Equal Justice Medal) - December 1, 1999

Jersey City, New Jersey—Jack Jay Wind, a resident of Madison, New Jersey and a principal in the law firm of Margulies, Wind, Herrington & Knopf, with offices in Jersey City, New Jersey, was honored yesterday at The Fifteenth Annual Legal Services Reception at the New Jersey Law Center in New Brunswick with an Equal Justice Medal for taking on complex and time consuming cases, securing a greater measure of justice for the disadvantaged. Additionally, Mr. Wind was honored for pro bono efforts on behalf of low income people in Hudson County, among other things, having represented Hudson County Legal Services Corporation in its recent acquisition of its new home in a condominium office building.

The Equal Justice Medal, first awarded in 1983, recognizes and celebrates outstanding contributions for disadvantaged citizens through legal processes and the judicial system.

Mr. Wind, besides being a litigator and maintaining a transactional practice, has been Secretary of the District VI Ethics Committee for over ten years.
